There are eight individual units of the rose in the ring, each one a separate design stitched on the embroidery machine. The design stitches in one minute. The ring may be used as a pattern for stained glass quilting, or as an appliqué pattern. You can wrap the entire rose in bias tape and stitch to a foundation cloth, or by cutting along the stitching lines and piecing the individual sections. It is not the intention of this lesson to teach stained glass piecing, rather to show a quick trick for making a pattern with your embroidery machine. |
